Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets forth the rules and guidelines for using the website crnsecure.com (the "Site"), including any services, dashboards, reporting forms, and related tools provided by Cybersecurity Response Network ("CRN", "we", "us", or "our"). This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms and Conditions. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to comply with this AUP. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Part 1:  Acceptable Use Policy (Introduction and Acceptable Uses)

1. Purpose

This AUP promotes responsible use of the Site to ensure security, reliability, and compliance with laws, while supporting legitimate cybersecurity incident reporting and community protection.

2. Acceptable Uses

You may use the Site solely for lawful purposes, including:

  • Submitting genuine cybersecurity incident reports (e.g., abuse, threats, or violations in online communities).

  • Accessing authorized dashboards or tools if you are a registered member or staff.

  • Participating in CRN network services for Discord or similar communities, in accordance with our Community Regulations.

  • Viewing public information or resources provided on the Site.
     

All uses must be honest, accurate, and in good faith to aid cybersecurity efforts.

3. User Responsibillities

  • You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information when submitting reports or creating accounts.

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

  • Promptly reporting any suspected violations of this AUP or security issues to contact.crnsecure@gmail.com.

  • Ensuring your use does not interfere with the Site's operation or other users.

Part 2:  Acceptable Use Policy (Prohibited Uses and Enforcement)

9. Prohibited Uses

You must not use the Site to:

  • Submit false, misleading, harassing, defamatory, or frivolous reports.

  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code.

  • Engage in unauthorized access, hacking, or attempts to breach the Site's security.

  • Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm others, including doxxing or sharing personal information without consent.

  • Violate any laws, including those related to privacy, child protection, or intellectual property.

  • Spam, flood, or overload the Site's services.

  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.

  • Use the Site for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

  • Distribute illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, or hate speech.
     

Participating communities must not use CRN services to facilitate or ignore violations of Discord's or other platforms' terms.

5. Reporting Violations

We encourage reporting suspected violations of this AUP via our reporting forms or email. Reports may be anonymous where possible.

6. Enforcement

Violations may result in:

  • Removal of submissions.

  • Suspension or termination of access/accounts.

  • Disclosure to law enforcement or affected parties.

  • Other actions as deemed necessary.
     

We may monitor use to detect violations, in compliance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to AUP

We may update this AUP at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing Law

This AUP is governed by:

  • The laws of the State of Florida and the United States for users in the United States or elsewhere.

  • The laws of England & Wales and the United Kingdom for users located in the United Kingdom.

Jurisdiction shall be in the courts of Florida (US) or England & Wales (UK), at CRN's election.
